Join us for a workshop on crocheting hyperbolic space at the exciting new Proteus Gowanus gallery in Brooklyn. In this event Institute For Figuring director Margaret Wertheim will lead a hands-on exploratory workshop about the intersection of higher geometry and feminine handicraft, based on the research of Cornell University mathematician Dr Daina Taimina - currently featured in Discover magazine.

Workshop fee: $25, crochet hooks and wool will be provided.
